De prestigeomgærede Eisner Awards er netop blevet uddelt på årets udgave af Comic Con i San Diego. Det er således 26. ombæring af prisuddelingen. Lige som tidligere er de nominerede blevet udvalgt af en femmandsjury, og vinderne er derefter fundet ved afstemning blandt tegneserieskabere, -udgivere, -forhandlere og andre folk fra den amerikanske tegneseriebranche.
Igen markerede Saga af forfatteren Brian K. Vaughan og tegneren Fiona Staples sig stærkt og tog flere af de tunge priser (læs Nummer9s anmeldelse af “Saga” her). En anden prisvindergenganger som kunne bade sig i succes i år var “Hawkeye” af Matt Fraction og David Aja, der også løb med flere priser i år (læs Nummer9s omtale her).
